This commissioned table, when completed, will be placed in the Martin Luther King Library, San Jose, California as part of their permanent art collection. |
| Mr. Mel Chin collaborated with a team of scholars, artists, and community members, to design Recolecciones, a collection of 33 artworks sited throughout the MLK Library designed to provoke interest and curiosity and encourage circulation throughout the building. Constructed with over 5000 small Milagros (Spanish for miracles) the table is one of three proposals selected in the “Make a Mesa of Your Own” competition – a part of the San Jose Office of Cultural Affairs – Public Art Program. | |
